389 and 548. By CARYLN CRESSMAN Pennridge Central Junior High School has named Dawn Lutz as its student of the month for January. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lutz, 1004 7th Perkasie.

The school said her scholastic achievement, ability in art and her all-around athletic participation earned her the honor. She has received a certificate and plaque from the Central facult and staff. Dawn recently received a scholastic art award for a ceramic sculpture of a horse. The award included a gold key from the Delaware Valley Tri-State Regional Art Association and a blue ribbon. The ribbon entitles the sculpture to be entered in the National Art Awards Exhibit in New York.

Last week, President Reagan urging Americans to study the Bible said. "The Bible can touch our hearts, order our minds and refresh our souls." I applaud our President as a true leader! If it seems shocking to hear a government leader finally showing the courage to' declare our nation's need of God and the Bible, it would be well for us to see what some of our early national leaders said. George Washington said, "It is impossible rightly to govern the world without God and the Bible!" Patrick Henry said, "This is a book worth all other books which were ever printed!" Thomas Jefferson said, "The Bible is the cornerstone of liberty!" Andrew Jackson said, "The Bible is the rock on which our republic rests." Abraham Lincoln said, "In regard to the great book, I have only to say that it is the best gift which God has given to Daniel Webster said, "There is no solid basis for civilization but in the word of God. If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering. I make it a practice to read the Bible through once every year!" What about you, reader friend.

When was the last time you read the bible? Other books were given for our information; the Bible was given for our transformation! Perhaps that is why many do not want to read it. Men do not reject the Bible because it contradicts itself but, because it contradicts them! However, many people are unable to verbally convey what they want in a house paint, often, for no other reason than the lack of the proper terminology.

These explanations should help: "Hue" denotes the actual color name suctras green. A color's "value" refers to its lightness or darkness by mixing white, gray or black with a color, various gradations or values can be effected. Those color values closest to black are "shades" while those closest to white are "tints." "Tone" refers to a color's intensity. This is the degree to which it displays brightness or dullness. With the "ideas of distinction" left up to the pros, color will soon become an important theme in determining the best decorative approach for your home, office or work area.
