horrible support, does not work

- I wasted 4hrs of my life and $100 . I emailed the company for support and they are just as useless as their product, offered absolutely no assistance just told me to use the deep scan recovery which did not work. I sent another email to let them know that their so called deep scan did not work and I have yet to receive a response - its been 6 weeks now. I didn't think I was going to get all my files back but their software couldn't even retrieve one file. RUN do not waste your time or money.I would never use their product again. Poor support

- It's a paid program, NOT free. Once the scan was done I only had the option of recovering 10 files, 10! What use is that for freeware? Put TRAIL somewhere prominent and not free!

- If you want to check if you can recover your files before buying then ok, but if you're looking for genuinely free data recovery, avoid this like the proverbial plague!

- The trial version is really free to download here. I have been given four file type recovery modes to scan my drive. The "All" recovery mode has found most of original files from my RAW drive. I can use this data recovery software easily, though I am not so familiar with data recovery knowledge.

- It takes about twenty minutes to scan my nearly full 320GB drive.

- In fact, in order to access files inside this RAW drive, I have tried many data recovery tools online. But, only this iCare Data Recovery Standard has scanned and restored the largest amount of my original files. Most impressively, since many unnecessary files are scanned, its "Preview" function even allows me to pick out the needed files out and restore them only. It really saves time. Honestly, I have a good habit to back up all my important drive data with FBacckup program every Friday. However, this time, it was only Wednesday when my Western Digital hard drive became RAW. What's worse, the computer also got some problem and could not be used the next time. That was why I had to use a data recovery tool to help me out. So, after experiencing this, I have learned a lesson to back up all my drive data as much as possible.

- Their software actually assisted in 'corrupting' my hard drive according to a data recovery specialist I had to hire after their software claim to save my files after purchasing the key.They have no money-back guarantee; I've asked for a refund for over 3 months and they will not honor my request even after their software corrupted my hard drive.They take days and sometimes weeks to respond to emails. No other means of support or communication.They have removed their 'contact us' information from their website. It's the same as the link 'about iCare' at the bottom. Check it out yourself. It was there a few months ago before their software corrupted my hard drive, so I'm sure I'm only one of probably thousands who are complaining to them for them to remove their contact info.

- I downloaded the trial version and it found about 1,500 files in about 20 minutes that I wanted to recover. You cannot save the files without purchasing their key for the full version. They claim if you see them with the trial you can save them after buying their key. I purchased it and input it to the field, but it said it was invalid; I copy and pasted it and typed verbatim about 15 different times with same result. Was told to uninstall and reinstall and use the key during installation. I did that and was able to 'search again' for the files with the full version. But this time it found NONE of the 1,500 files from the first search. In fact it only searched about 1000 sectors out of a total of 1,000,000 sectors in about 24 hrs. which would have taken a month. Obviously something was wrong. I began emailing them as this is their ONLY means of contact. Response was HORRIBLE. i finally took my hard drive to a trusted specialist. He said the HD was corrupt and it was likely the uninstalling of the iCare software while it has found the original files. He said it would cost about $2000 to fix now; had I brought it to him in the beginning it would have been about $200 because the HD was not corrupt at that point. iCare actually corrupted my hard drive because their trial version would not accept the 'key' I purchased and they had me uninstall/reinstall to get the key to work. By then the files could not be recovered. I have dialoged with them via email for the past 3 months asking AT LEAST for a refund and they will not comply. STAY FAR FAR AWAY! You have been warned. If your data is worth ANYTHING, I would not use this software. One last thing to show you how CORRUPT they are; go to their website and select the 'about iCare' link, then select the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page. THEY ARE THE SAME THING showing ONLY the 'ABOUT iCare' information. NO INFORMATION ON HOW TO CONTACT THEM. I wonder why????? It was there a few months ago before their software corrupted my hard drive, so I'm sure I'm only one of probably thousands who are complaining to them for them to remove their contact info. USE AT YOUR OWN PERIL!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Apr 22, 2014<p/>They actually DO offer a 30 day money back guarantee, but have not honored it for me with a valid reason according to their website; even after requesting for a refund for the past 3 months.

- I was re-sizing one of my partitions and accidentally destroyed my boot section and lost access to the drive. The drive became raw and was prompting for format in order to access it. I had very valuable data there (my wedding videos, tons of family pictures, personal finance documents, etc.). I did some research and tried the free version of iCare. This program scanned the raw drive and showed me the files. I purchased the full version and managed to recover all the needed data with it. Best $50 I've spent this year! Will recommend without a doubt! Just make sure to search for coupons to get a 20-50% discount...
Terrific Freeware! It Has Recovered My IPod.

- My iPod is always going well until yesterday I inserted it to a public computer to download a pop song. I connected it to my pc later but somehow all data disappeared. I right clicked it and it said 400MB used. But I just could not find the files, they were hiding away. I downloaded iCare Data Recovery and had my iPod scanned. What a miracle! All files were back again! Thanks very much!

Useful & Valuable Software for Reformat CF card

- I linked the CF card to my pc by a card reader, it said my CF card is not formatted, I inserted it into my Cannon, it still said "the disk in drive is not formatted, do you want to format it now", it was so weird because just a few days ago I stored photos into it and it worked well. I connected it to my friend's computer it did not work either. I did not want to format it for I had stored all my graduation photos in it. So I tried this data recovery software. Wow, I never expect I can reformat my CF card and recover the photos. It was terrific!

- I had some difficulty in recovering my videos, and only half of those were found back. I left my CF card there and did not store any more data in it. What may I do to recover the left videos?
