The pair met while filming the Hallmark romance The Sweetest Heart. "He’s such a wonderful, wonderful person and a terrific actor so it was very easy with him," Gonzalo gushed to FanSided ahead of the March 2018 premiere.

The stars adopted their dogs Charlie and Bowie, allowing the A Cinderella Story actress and McNally to start developing their coparenting relationship.

When ET asked McNally, who plays Lucas Bouchard in Hallmark's hit historical drama, when he feels sexiest, the actor said, "I don't really ever feel that way."

However, he admitted Gonzalo's compliments give him a boost of confidence. "If my girlfriend tells me I'm handsome, then I'll feel good," he said.

McNally revealed that his favorite camping memory was just a simple night with Gonzalo and their pups.

"It was in Big Bear — the coyotes were howling, which the dogs had never heard before, and they were pretty stressed about it. They were on guard for a couple of minutes, but then the exhaustion of the day took over and both of them curled up on blankets and pillows and fell asleep," he told the Los Angeles Times.

He continued, "It was super cute. Then my girlfriend and I sat out on the front of the tent like it’s a porch. The stars were visible and beautiful, so we just pulled the tent fly back, hung out and had a glass of wine. It was so peaceful, sitting out with our legs dangling like we’re on our own little porch on top of the car, with these two bundled up fast asleep. It was the best."

Gonzalo announced their baby news with a sweet Instagram post.

The pair teamed up for Hallmark’s 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost, which premiered in October. In the movie, Gonzalo plays real estate agent Anna, who comes face to face with a 1920’s ghost (Madeleine Arthur) who won’t cross over until Anna reconnects with her ex (McNally).
