I would probably word it like this:
"Where can I exchange currencies around here? I need to exchange yen for dollars."
Or
"Is there somewhere nearby where I can exchange currencies? I need to exchange yen for dollars."

I’m not familiar with the term exchange shop.
"Where is the nearest shop/store/bank ? I need to exchange yen for dollars."t

@literally8492 OK! Do American people use "Exchange shop"? Maybe it's Japanese English. "exchange currencies"! Thank you!

@Popcornweekend Aha! I see! I just say "shop" and explain what I want to do in the shop! OK! That makes sense! I think "exchange shop" is Japanese English!

@u-1 I've never heard someone say Exchange Shop (US). I've always just heard people say "I need to go to the bank and get Euros" or something like that.

Exactly! Also, we are more likely to say store than shop in my part of the country.
I have to go to the store and get groceries.
I have to go to the bank to exchange my money from yen to dollars.
