Proceedings of June 21

• A bench warrant was issued for Brianna Kay Pawlak, 23, after she failed to appear for a plea and sentencing hearing on a case involving battery or threat to a law officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16.

• Troy E. Mucha, 33, Appleton, formerly of Lakewood, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 21. 2022, and a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 30, 2023. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for Sept. 3 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Steven M. Schmitz, 70, Crivitz, pleaded no contest to three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 16, 2020. The charges were amended from felonies in a plea agreement. Judge Jay Conley levied fines and fees totaling $1,459.40 and sentenced Schmitz to 37 days already served in county jail.

• Sara Lee Ducat, 36, Oconto, pleaded no contest to charges of battery or threat to a law officer, and two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 19, 2023. Conley approved a deferred judgment agreement on the felony count and placed her on 18 months of probation for the misdemeanors.

• A Sept. 25 jury trial was scheduled for Rhonda R. Shampo, 61, Oconto, on charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 29, 2023. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Sept. 9.

• James John Crouse, 52, Menominee, Michigan, pleaded not guilty to a felony count of possession of THC (second and subsequent offense) and misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 16. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for July 18.

• Bond was set at $12,000 cash for Dillon Steven Renard, 39, Green Bay, after he was charged with burglary, theft, taking a vehicle without consent, criminal damage to property, possession of burglarious tools\ and misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass, receiving or concealing stolen property, possession of cocaine, possession of THC, resisting or obstructing an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 16. Conley adjourned his initial appearance until July 18.

• Bond was set at $6,600 cash for JoAnna F Albertz, 46, Kameohe, Hawaii, after she was charged with burglary, theft, possession of burglarious tools and misdemeanor charges including two counts of criminal damage to property, receiving or concealing stolen property, criminal trespass, possession of cocaine, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 16. Conley adjourned her initial appearance until July 18.

Proceedings of June 20

• A bench warrant was issued for Kyra L. Saldana, 21, Oconto, after she failed to appear for a status conference after she pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 29.

• Buzz A. Anwash, 39, Wabeno, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited blood alcohol content (seventh offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 28. Judge scheduled sentencing for Aug. 30 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Brad D. Coopman, 51, Oconto Falls, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with incidents that occurred Aug. 3 and Aug. 4, 2023, and three counts of felony bail jumping in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 15, 2023. Judge scheduled sentencing for Aug. 19 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Matthew L. Huettl, 32, Townsend, pleaded no contest to possession of THC and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred June 21, 2023. The THC charge was amended from a felony in a plea agreement. Judge imposed and stayed a prison sentence, then placed Huettl on two years of probation with conditions.

• A Dec. 4-6 jury trial was scheduled for Leonardo Juarez, 55, an inmate of the Oconto County Jail, on charges of second-degree sexual assault, child enticement for sexual purposes, false imprisonment and exposing himself to a child, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 31, 2018. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Nov. 18.

• A Jan. 21 jury trial was scheduled for Marc Allen Monfort, 33, Oconto Falls, on charges of child abuse intentionally causing harm and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 14. Conley scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Jan. 13.

• Jacob Louis Anderson, 35, Coleman, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession of narcotic drugs, two misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, and one misdemeanor count each of possession of cocaine, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 9. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for July 18.

Proceedings of June 19

• After a preliminary hearing Emilio G. Garcia, 34, Oconto, was bound over and pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, misdemeanor possession of THC, possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin, possession of drug paraphernalia May 25. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for July 18.

• After a preliminary hearing Sidney Steven Daniels Jr., 41, Keshena, was bound over and pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 8. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for July 26.

• Tanya Ann Kamps, 50, Abrams, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and misdemeanor counts of possession of cocaine, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 6; as well as manufacture with intent to deliver amphetamine and maintaining a drug trafficking place, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 5; and three counts each of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and maintaining a drug trafficking place, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Oct. 13, April 22 and June 5. Conley scheduled arraignment for July 18.

• After a preliminary hearing, Robert S. Presl, 44, Oconto, was bound over on three counts of battery or threat to a law officer, one count of throwing or discharging bodily fluids at an officer, three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 16. Conley scheduled arraignment for July 18.

• Bond was set at $1,000 cash for Tyler C. Spice, 38, Lena, after he was charged with strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 16. Conley adjourned his initial appearance until July 18.

Proceedings of June 17

• Bond was set at $10,000 cash for Richard Frank Rau, 65, Lakewood, after he was charged with two counts of felony bail jumping, two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping, a misdemeanor possession of THC, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 15. Judge adjourned his initial appearance until July 18.

• Bond was set at $500 cash for Venus Marie Nelson, 39, Green Bay, after she was charged with victim intimidation threatening force and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 15. Judge adjourned her initial appearance until July 18.
