Why is my ThermoPro not reading outside temperature? ›

This usually means that the probe may be damaged by moisture or heat causing it to be defective. You can try re-inserting the probe or re-inserting the batteries to fix this issue. If you've tried this and the reading is still off, please contact us, as the probe may be damaged.

Press the button on the back to switch between °C and °F and hold for 2 seconds to clear the record maximum and minimum humidity/temperature readings.

If the probe reading HHH, please try removing it from the device and firmly re-inserting back into the device until a click is felt/heard. If this did not fix your issue, it is possible the temperature is too high for the probe to read or it is defective and needs to be replaced.

Turn on the thermometer and hold the LOCK/CAL button for 5 seconds to enter Calibration mode; 2. When you see temperature reading begins flashing, press and hold the Light button for 3 seconds. The temperature reading will stop flashing and the calibration is set to the default setting.

Correct positioning of your temperature sensor is most commonly the problem here. When you position any temperature sensor it needs to be placed in a shady position or out of direct sunlight.

General conditions: Exposure to temperatures outside the operating range - Damage can occur to internal components, causing erroneous readings if thermometers are exposed to extreme temperatures. Shock and vibration - The components in a thermometer are sensitive to extreme levels of shock and vibration.

How to reset ThermoPro weather station? ›

All ThermoPro indoor and outdoor thermometers include a reset button on the front or back of their sensor stations and display units. With forward-facing reset buttons, you can simply press the button to reset them.

First, replace the batteries in your thermostat as this is the easiest fix. Then, you should check that your thermostat is level and that all parts of your HVAC system are clean. In particular, look out for dirty air filters, which can be the cause of your thermostat reading the wrong temperature.

A temporal artery thermometer may be more expensive than other types of thermometers. This type of thermometer may be less accurate than other types. Direct sunlight, cold temperatures or a sweaty forehead can affect temperature readings.

Perhaps the most common cause of a thermostat reading the wrong temperature is that it is not located in the most optimal place within your home. If your thermostat is in direct sunlight, near sources of heat or drafts, or not centrally-located within your home, it will not give an accurate temperature reading.

Find the channel selector within the battery compartment on the sensor, and set it to channel one. Once selected, the sensor and the display unit should be automatically synchronized. If done correctly, the sensor and the radio signal on the display unit will show a flashing red light.
